Hi everyone, today we are doing something very different from our usual blogs. This is going to be a quick kid’s craft. One of the most popular forms of arts and craft recently has been origami, animals are usually the most popular, including this I will detail instructions for paper plate masks.
Craft 1: Origami Frog
Materials needed
A square piece of paper, a pencil/pen.
Instructions
- Start with the piece of paper (colour side should face down).
- Create a triangle by folding the paper in half diagonally.
- Fold the triangle in half, to make an even smaller triangle.
- Now, unfold the paper completely, observe the crease in the centre.
- Fold the bottom corners up towards the centre crease. These are the frog’s legs.
- Fold the top point down create the frog’s head.
- Draw eyes on the frog’s head, now the frog is complete.
Craft 2: Paper Plates
Materials needed
Markers, crayons, coloured pencils, glue, scissors, paper plates, craft string.
Warning
Be careful not to leave children unaccompanied while using potentially dangerous materials. (scissors, glue, string)
Instructions
- Draw the eyes on the paper plate.
- Next, cut out eye holes in the paper plate. Make sure the child can see through the eye holes clearly.
- Next decorate the mask however the child wants.
- Attach a stick to the mask if the child wants to hold the mask upright, or instead you can use the string.
Hope this was fun and exciting to do!
